Julie has a wealth of experience from across the telecommunications sector, including leading major infrastructure programmes across the UK. She began her career at Kingston Communications before joining Telewest as Head of Contact Centres. Following its merger with NTL to form Virgin Media in 2007, Julie spent over 20 years in a range of roles, including as Executive Director of Construction & Delivery, where she played a key role in expanding broadband reach through the flagship Project Lightning programme.

In 2021, Julie became COO of Liberty Global Energy Ventures and subsequently CEO of Egg, a Liberty Global Ventures company focused on delivering decarbonisation solutions such as electric vehicle charging, solar power, and battery storage. Julie returned to Virgin Media O2 in 2023 as Managing Director of Network Expansion and, in 2025, assumed her current role.
